Pine Valley

Pine Valley is one of St George resident’s favorite retreats, as it’s near St George (only 40 minutes away), and it offers a respite from the scathing heat of summer. The valley itself is very beautiful, when you come up over the crest and look down into the valley for the first time you’ll agree with me.

There’s a great walking trail that’s been constructed along the creek and up to the Pine Valley reservoir. There is great fishing here and along the stream as well.

There’s also a lot of newly improved camping spots up in the woods, which have become increasingly more popular in recent days. So if you’re looking for things to do in St George, or different places to visit then head north towards Pine Valley and you won’t be disappointed.

Zion Landscapes

There is a lot of beauty in southern Utah. From vast vistas, to beautiful valley’s and canyons, we’ve got it all in this area. But what about looking down at just the intricate landscapes of Zion? The cascading rocks that look like pankcakes stacked on top of each other. There just is so much to see and do here that it’s hard to even begin scratching the surface on it, but here at StGerogeLodging.com we’re going to try!

Hike Near Lower Sand Cove

This photo was taken on a hike that goes above Lower Sand Cove reservoir that sits near St George and Gunlock in particular. This is part of the Red Mountain area and offers a great little hike that isn’t too difficult but once you get atop the summit is very rewarding.

You’ll have a birds eye view for miles around, and have a fun time hiking up to it. When we went it was quite popular, which was surprising due to it’s relative remoteness. It’s a great little hike that is quite rewarding, so if you’re looking for something to do in St George check it out.

St George’s Town Square Park

The St George Town Square park is simply a hit with St George residents. The splash pad and running creek is a hot spot with young families especially when the weather gets hotter. You’ll see kids there all day long during the summer months.
